Rebecca Romijn (pronounced "Ro-Maine" in the USA but the proper Dutch pronunciation is "Ro-mine") is an American film and television actress and former fashion model.Rebecca's most famous movie role so far was as the shape-shifting "Mystique" in X-Men. In January 2007, she made her first appearance on the ABC series Ugly Betty as a full time regular, playing "Alexis Meade", a male-to-female transsexual.
Among other jobs, she modeled for the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated and for Victoria's Secret. She also was the host of MTV's House of Style from 1998 to 2000.
In 1997 and 1999, she was one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People.
In 1997, she was GQ's Woman of the Year.
In 2007, she was ranked #30 on the Maxim magazine Hot 100 list.
In 2008, she was ranked #58 on the Maxim magazine Hot 100 list.
